There is no regulated market in the
entire state of Jammu and Kashmir. However, organized markets are available
in some districts. Poonch district do not have any organized market and majority
of produce is sold locally, that too constitute a high percent of barter exchange.
Farmers of the district need a good marketing infrastructure, especially for
fruits and cereals.
